KOKUYO WP/タスクチェア。
より身軽でよりカジュアルでより機能的なタスクチェアが求められている市場に対して提案したプロダクト。
造形や機能だけでなく企業としての責任であるサステナビリティへの配慮は持たせたいという欲もあった。
採用した手法はノックダウンと次の製造につながる分解性。
単一素材に分解ができることが廃棄の削減につながると考え製造方法から設計をしている。

Kokuyo WP/Task Chair. This product was proposed to a market in need of a lighter, more casual, more functional task chair. We wanted to create a product that not only had form and function, but also sustainability, which is our responsibility as a company. The method we employed was knockdown and degradability for the next production run. We designed the product from the manufacturing method, believing that the ability to disassemble into a single material would lead to a reduction in waste.

造形は円環がモチーフになっている。
誰にでも制約なく使いやすい、同時に円環は人を優しく受け止める優しさを演出する。

The motif is a circle. It is made to be used by anyone without resistance, and at the same time, it is circular in shape to gently receive people.

インサート成形は採用せず単一素材に分別が可能になっている。
採用している樹脂の多くもリサイクル樹脂を使い環境への負荷を最低限になるよう努力をしている。

Insert molding is not used, allowing for separation into single materials. Many of the resins used are recycled resins to minimize environmental impact.

背座の交換を簡単にすることにより、汚れや劣化などの廃棄に直結する事象にも交換対応を可能にしている。同時にノックダウンを可能にしたことで、輸送効率を向上させ既存のタスクチェアの50%の容積にて輸送が可能になっている。

By making it easy to replace the back and seat, it is possible to replace the chair in the event of stains, deterioration, or other problems that could lead directly to disposal. At the same time, the knockdown design improves transportation efficiency and enables transportation at 50% of the volume of existing task chairs.
